The worked example on the left demonstrates how BATWOVE can be used in the context of different food system interventions. As discussed in the preceding video, it is recommended to begin with the transformation statement, and then identify the worldview that underpins the transformation.

It is important to acknowledge that multiple worldviews will have been present in the designing of the BATWOVE, but specifying one will be instructive in determining the winners and losers.

The winners and losers do not have to be human actors only, and include entities such as animals, or things like water quality.
