Section 5: Section Review

Before moving on, take a moment to reflect on what you've learned in this section. Consider the following questions as a way to review the material and think about how you can apply these concepts in real-world situations:

Question 1:

Using an example from your portfolio, and using the power/interest matrix as a guide, identify the key stakeholders involved. How would you classify them based on their power and interest? Reflect on how this helps you understand the dynamics of the situation and how you might tailor your engagement strategies for each group.

Question 2:

Reflect on a time when a decision was made that affected you or your community. Were all relevant stakeholders considered? If not, what were the consequences? How could a more participatory approach, informed by stakeholder analysis, have led to a better outcome? Consider how you can incorporate the principles of stakeholder analysis into your decision-making processes to ensure that diverse perspectives are valued and considered.

In the next section, we will be exploring how to plan backwards for transformation.
